DANGARA VALLEY IRRIGATION PROJECT, PHASE III Water Resources/Irrigation and Drainage Loan No.TAD-0051-0052 The Government of Tajikistan has received financing in the amount of US$ 26.76 million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of Dangara Valley Irrigation Project, phase III (2TJK-0087), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. A. PROCUREMENT OF GOODS AND WORKS 1. Civil Works component comprises: Installation of main and primary distribution pipelines MTR with structures, installation of secondary irrigation pipelines, installation of drip irrigation system in pilot area, construction of primary and secondary drainage system with structures and rehabilitation of part of existing Main Dangara Canal and VD-3 canal. Procurement method -International Competitive Bidding limited to IDB Member Countries (ICB/MC). 2. Machinery & Equipment component includes: supply of operation and maintenance machinery and equipment to local water management authorities. Procurement method - National Competitive Bidding (NCB). B. PROCUREMENT OF SERVICES 1. Consulting Services includes: preparation of detailed design, bidding documents, support in carrying out bidding process and supervision of works. Selection method -Shortlist of Firms from IDB Member Countries. 2. Financial Audit includes: audit services to be carried out on annual basis throughout the project implementation period. Selection method -Shortlist of national audit firms. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for the Use of Consultants Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB/MC) and national competitive bidding procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available.
