GENERAL PROCUREMENT NORIFICATION (GPN) Country Name - Tajikistan Project Name – Secondary Schools Development Project (2-TAD-0043) Project code - TAD0043 Tajikistan received a Loan from the Islamic Development Bank in the amount of 11,340,000 ID approximately equivalent to 17,490,000.00 USD for funding the project “Renovation and completion of the Secondary Schools” – Phase III. Project aim – The aim of the project is to expand an access and improving the quality of the secondary school at the expense of construction and school equipping, teachers’ training, development of curriculums and capacity building. The project includes the following components: 1. School construction 2. Furniture and equipment 3. Development of teacher’s skills 4. Design of curriculum 5. Capacity building of the Executive/Implementing Agency 6. Consulting services (Monitoring/surveillance and design/engineering) 7. Project Implementation Unit (PIU) 8. Finance Audit 9. Contingency Procurement of goods and works will be done in compliance with the Guidelines on procurement of the goods and works under the IDB Financing (May, 2009). Acquisition of the services of the consultants will follow the Guidelines for the use of Consultants under the Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009). Procurement of Goods - it will be done through conducting International Competitive Bidding (ICB). Procurement of works – it will be done through conducting International Competitive Bidding (ICB). Selection of Consultant – Consulting Services on the designing and monitoring/supervision will be procured through the competitive bidding process, using the selection based on the quality and disbursements (SBQD), short-list amongst consultants IDB Member Countries.
