Construction of Kulyab Kalaikhumb Road – Shurabad Shagon Section Invitation for Re-tender of Post-qualification The Government of Tajikistan has received a loan from the Saudi Fund for Development, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and OPEC Fund for International Development towards the cost of the construction of Kulyab Kalaikhumb Road (Shurabad- Shagon Section) in Tajikistan, and it intends to apply the process of this loan to be limited to IDB Member Countries under the contract for which this invitation is issued. The project passes along the most mountainous section of the Kulyab Kalaikhumb Highway. The aim of the project is to provide all year round link from the east to the west of Tajikistan. The Executing Agency is the Ministry of Transport and the Consultants are the JV: Alabdelhadi Engineering Consultancy & Spectrum Engineering Consultants. The one-stage, one envelop tender will be conducted in accordance with the Funds’ procedures with the date of the submission of application on 05.09.2011. The tender is open to only firms and voluntarily formed joint ventures from eligible parties. Eligible applicants who have the satisfactory evidence of previous comparable experience and capacity to perform this work within the prescribed scope of work, qualification including equipment, personnel and financial resources may obtain the post-qualification and bidding documents by contacting the Executing Agency on below-indicated address. The request must clearly state “request for post qualification documents for Kulyab – Kalaikhumb Road Construction (Shurabad - Shagon Section)”. The documents will be available for a nonrefundable fee of US$ 800 for one set. Documents requested by air courier will be dispatched on payment of an additional amount, but neither the Executing Agency nor the Consultant will be held responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents. The cost of each set of post-qualification documents will be paid in cash and is non-refundable.
