The Ministry of Water Resources and Land Reclamation of the Republic of Tajikistan through Project Implementation Unit, invites interested and capable International Contractors who are from member countries of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Joint Ventures having contractors from IDB member countries to submit prequalification information for the purpose of determining a shortlist of qualified Tenderers for Construction of Dangara Valley Irrigation Project – Phase 2. The Prequalification is limited to:  Contractors from IDB member countries  Joint Ventures which include contractors from IDB member countries. The IDB and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) are co-financing the project, and retain certain rights, including clearance/concurrence of the contractor(s) selected. However, IDB and KFAED will not be parties to the contract. Dangara Valley Irrigation Project: Phase-2 involves development of irrigation systems and field distribution networks of the area, termed here as Planning Unit-2. The total net area under the Planning Unil-2 is 1,750 ha. The development work involves construction of part of the branch canal VD-3 and its associated structures together with the construction of all tertiary canals, field distribution networks with buried pipelines & hydrants, flood drains, sub-surface drainage networks, irrigation & drainage structures and land levelling. The Ministry of Water Resources and Land Reclamation of the Republic of Tajikistan through Project Implementation Unit intends to tender the Works in two phases. Phase 1 comprises of this Request for Prequalification, and Phase 2 will comprise of a call for Tenders that will only be issued to prequalified applicants selected in Phase 1.
