CONSTRUCTION OF KULYAB TO KALAIKHUM ROAD SHURABAT-SHAGON SECTION INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION The Government of Tajikistan has received a loan from the Saudi Fund for Development, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, the Islamic Development Bank, Abu Dhabi Fund and OPEC toward the cost of the construction of Kulyab Kalaikhum Road Construction (Shurabad - Shagon Section) in Tajikistan, and it intends to apply the proceeds of this Loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued. The 40 km road passes along the most mountainous section of the Kulyab-Kalaikhum Highway. The aim of the project is to provide an all year-round link between east and west Tajikistan. The Executing Agency is the Ministry of Transport and the Consultants are JV Abdulhadi Engineering Consultancy & Spectrum Engineering Consultants. The prequalification will be conducted in accordance with the Funds procedures with the date of the submission of application on 30th November 2010. Prequalification is open to only firms and voluntarily formed joint ventures from eligible parties. Eligible applicants who have the satisfactory evidence of previous comparable experience and capacity to perform this work within the prescribed period (including equipment, personnel and financial resources) may obtain the pre-qualification and biding documents by contacting one of the addresses below. The request must clearly state "Request for Prequalification for Kulyab Kalaikhum Road Construction (Shurabad - Shagon Section)". The documents will be available as of 15th November 2010 for a nonrefundable fee of US$ 300.00 (for one set). Documents requested by air courier will be dispatched on payment of an additional amount of US$ 200.00, but neither the Executing Agency not the Consultants will be held responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents so mailed. The cost of each set of prequalification documents will be paid in cash and is nonrefundable. The submission of applications for Prequalification must be received in sealed envelopes, which must be delivered either by hand or registered mail to the Executing Agency at the address below by 15:00 hours on 30th November 2010, and be clearly marked "Application to Prequalification for the Kulyab Kalaikhum Road Construction (Shurabad - Shagon Section)".
