REPUBLIC OF THE GAMBIA ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) ENHANCING VALUE ADDITION IN THE GROUNDNUT SECTOR PROJECT PROCUREMENT OF WEIGHBRIDGE, TUGBOAT AND BARGES, TRACTORS AND COMPACT SKID-STEER LOADERS FOR THE GAMBIA GROUNDNUT CORPORATION (GGC) IDB Financing No: GM-0081 1. The Government of the Republic of The Gambia has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) towards the cost of the Enhancing Value Addition in the Groundnut Sector Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under contracts for the procurement of goods and equipment. 2. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB Financing, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries of the World (both member and non-member countries of IDB) as defined in the Guidelines. 4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and can inspect the Bidding Documents at the address noted below, from 8am to 6pm (GMT), Monday to Thursday. 5. Qualifications requirements are as noted in the Bidding Documents. 6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of GMD 6,000 (Six Thousand Gambian Dalasis) or US$150 (One Hundred and Fifty United States Dollars) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency for each set of bidding document. Documents will be sent by email or courier for local delivery. The method of payment will be Cash or Bank Draft in the name of GAMWORKS payable in The Gambia or Bank Transfer. 7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12.00 noon on Tuesday 13th January, 2015. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives’ who choose to attend in person at the address below at 12.00 noon on Tuesday 13th January, 2015.
