  1. The Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries Wealth, and Water Resources (MAFWWR) received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Climate-Resilient Flood Protection Dams Project (OMN1028) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Flood Protection Dams at Wadi Rajma.

 

  1. The Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries Wealth, and Water Resources (MAFWWR) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for construction of Wadi Rajma flood protection dam – Wilayat Liwa, North Al Batinah Governorate
  2. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in IsDB’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and related services under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing [April 2019 edition, revised in February 2023] (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.18 -21 setting forth IsDB’s policy on conflict of interest.
  3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Department of Dams, Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources, Al-Khuwair, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, Tel: +968 2495 2292, Email: director.dams@mafwr.gov.om .and inspect the bidding documents during office hours (7:00 AM -2:00 PM, Muscat Time).

 

  1. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fees of as it shown in the Esnad website. Bids must be delivered to the address through the E-Tendering website (Esnad) on or before the specified date and time on the website ttps://etendering.tenderboard.gov.om physical delivery of bids will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened by the Tender Board Committee and evaluated by the Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources.

 

  1. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 300,000 Omani Riyals (OMR), from the Bank Guarantee issued by a reputable financial institution in Omani Riyals (OMR).
  2. In case of joint venture the bid security should be named by all members. For unregistered Contractors under “Esnad” in Sultanate of Oman, they can register easily through the following link: Company Registration
