Invitation for Prequalification TURKEY Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP) (ISMEP) Reconstruction Works of Educational Buildings (IDB-WB4-YAPIM-04) This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. 674 dated March 16, 2006; in the Official Journal No OJS 84 dated April 30, 2008, No OJS S64 dated April 01, 2011, in Development Business No. 796 dated March 16, 2011 and in Arab News dated February 09, 2013. The Republic of Turkey has applied for financing from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) towards the cost Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for Reconstruction Work of Vocational Educational Schools (IDB-WB4-YAPIM-04). The project covers 2 number of Vocational High Schools Campus and 16 number of schools campus in various districts of Istanbul. The estimated construction area for these schools is approx. 120,000 m2 having approx. 540 classrooms. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in October 2013. Prequalification will be conducted through the prequalification procedures specified in IDB’s Guidelines for Procurement under IDB Financing, dated May 2009 and is limited to IDB Member Countries, as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Istanbul Project Coordination Unit (IPCU) (address below) from 09:00 to 17:00 (Turkey time) which are office hours. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 500 TL or 230 Euro.
