Consultancy Services for construction & Supervision of Okmeydani Education and Research Hospital in Istanbul
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Republic of Turkey Istanbul Special Provincial Administration (ISPA) Istanbul Project Coordination Unit (IPCU) Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness (ISMEP) Project Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of Okmeydanı Education and Research Hospital (ISDB-CB.1) The Republic of Turkey has applied for a loan from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) toward the cost of the Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The service include “Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of Okmeydanı Education and Research Hospital (ISDB-CB.1)” with approximately 850 bed consisting of on-site construction supervision during construction period, supervising the works including defect liability period and acting as the Engineer under the Contract during implementation period of 60 months. The Istanbul Project Coordination Unit (IPCU) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information and documents indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Experience in the field of Supervision of Hospitals’ Construction Projects will be a minimum requirement for the assignment. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications in which case they need to submit documentary evidence which clearly indicates the type of association (a Joint-Venture or sub consultancies) and, in the case of a joint-venture association, that the JV partners are jointly and severally liable for the assignments. Each consultant should also state whether it is a firm or a not-for-profit organization. The Client, within the interested national or international consultant firms in accordance with their qualifications and experience will form one shortlist group. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the “Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing, May 2009” Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below from 10:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. local time. Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by December 28, 2011 at 16:00 (local time) by surface mail, courier or hand delivery. Applications by e-mail shall not be accepted.
