MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND MINERAL DEVELOPMENT RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY REPUBLIC OF UGANDA GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE (GPN) Technical Assistance for Grant Financing for Buvuma & Sigulu Studies The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received Grant financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) towards the cost of Technical Assistance to undertake feasibility studies for the electrification of Buvuma & Sigulu Islands on Lake Victoria. A Consultant shall be engaged to carry out a feasibility study comprising two phases namely:  Phase I: Study the various electrification options for both Islands;  Phase II: Conduct Preliminary Design of the most appropriate electrification option including preparation of draft tender documents for construction works. The above Consultancy Services shall be selected through a shortlist limited to IDB Member Countries ( IDB MC) firms in accordance with the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009 edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. The Specific Procurement Notice (i.e. Expression of Interest) for the Consultancy Contract to be procured will be announced (after Twenty (20) days from the publication of this GPN) on the IDB website and newspaper or magazine of national circulation.
