ELECTRICIDADE DE MOÇAMBIQUE, E.P. SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE (SPN) FOR RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT IN NIASSA PROVINCE (LCREP) ICB/MC No: 03/06/2009G-Moz Package I: ENC.223/DEP-LCREP Package II: ENC.224/DEP-LCREP 1. The Government of Mozambique (“the Borrower”) has received Loan ($10.00 Musd) from the Islamic Development Bank (BID), towards for implementation of the “Rural Electrification Project in Niassa Province”. 2. The scope of work includes the detailed Design, Supply and Installation of about 260 km of 33KV MV Ohl, about 85 km of LV reticulation network, and about 52 distribution stations, that would supply under low cost rural electrification plan (LCREP) to 3 districts – Nipepe, Marrupa, and Lago with the following (i) localities (Metangula – Cobue; Lichinga – Chimbonila; Marrupa – Nungo; Maua – Nipepe), (ii) about 32 villages and communities with about a total of 11,000 households including schools, clinics, administration buildings, etc. The scope of work is divided into 2 packages. 3. The implementation of the project (for any package or the 2 packages together) shall be completed in 18 months. 4. The bidder shall clearly states whether he will be submitting offer for Package I only, or Package II only, or for the both two Packages together. 5. The Bidding process will be conducted according to the procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Procurement Guidelines for Goods & Works (May, 2009) under Procurement - Post Qualification Method. Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information from, and inspect the bidding document at the Electricidade de Mocambique E.P. (address below) from 07:30 h to 15:00 h on weekdays. 6. A complete set of bidding documents in English shall be purchased to the address below of a nonrefundable fee of US $300.00 or equivalent in freely convertible currency. The Proposal shall be delivered before April 16, 2012 at 15pm local time to the adress below, furthermore a compulsory site visit will take place in Niassa Province on week 11 (March12 to 16).
